The book has now been fully updated by Tagholm and contains five new walks. Ranging from the Chelsea Garden (the second oldest apothecaries' garden in England) to the 2500 acres of Richmond Park, former royal hunting forest and London park, Walking London's Parks and Gardens imaginatively weaves through central London's most graceful districts.

Each walk is set in the area's historic context and has detailed infoon features and highlights, such as plantings, statuary and architect. There are also easy-to-follow detailed route maps for each walk and specially commissioned colour photographs, plus full details of addresses opening times and the best bars and restaurants to visit en route. Geoffrey Young died recently and this new edition is dedicated to his memory.
