Featuring write-ups on each of the 63 Biennale artists, essays from invited academics and insightful notes from the Biennale curatorial team, this fully illustrated publication goes beyond the scope of the traditional exhibition catalogue. Presented in the form of a distinctive binder and slipcase folio which allows individual catalogue sections to be taken out or added in, the handsome publication is specially designed by New York firm Goto Design. In line with the Biennale$B!G(Bs exploration of the notion of $B!H(BOpen House$B!I(B, the catalogue also features a special section focussing on the art-making process. The catalogue includes contributions from Chua Beng Huat, David Elliott, Patrick Flores, Hou Hanru, Susie Lingham, Matthew Ngui, Ruth Noack, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Russell Storer, Trevor Smith, Yao Souchou and numerous other writers.
