Mighty Men: Heroes Who Made A Difference
Low Jat Leng

Mighty Men: Heroes Who Made A Difference is a collection that recounts the lives of ordinary men who rose amidst adversity to become true heroes. These were men who made a difference to their nations and brought glory to their places of birth and include diverse luminaries such as Mohandas Gandhi, Jose Rizal and P. Ramlee.

Although not related to each other and even though they lived at different time periods, there are three threads that connect them – they were all non-Singaporeans, brought great pride to their fellow countrymen through their work and had a connection to Singapore. Mighty Men doesn’t just tell their stories, but has also been designed to be used as a guide to visit historic places and buildings in Singapore which are connected to these men and illustrates how history can be brought alive for anyone through story-telling and making connections to buildings or places that still exist.
